Hi! My is Abi Fast, and I absolutely love animals. In fact, my fiancé goes so far as to call me the crazy dog lady!
I grew up on a farm in Central Missouri, where I was constantly surrounded by dogs, cats, cows, and horses, as well as the occasional goat. In high school, I began to show horses at my local saddle club and started photography as a way to pass the time between my classes. I fell in love with photography during this time, and took a class offered at my school.
I not only realized how difficult photography was through this, but also realized how much more I could achieve with more training. Thus, upon graduating, I found myself half way across the country at the Hallmark Institute of Photography, where I studied professional photography. Throughout my time at Hallmark, I loved my fashion and portrait classes but I couldn't keep myself from gravitating back to animals. When an instructor suggested I try to incorporate pets into more assignments, I realized that this is what I was meant to do- capture precious memories of people with their pets that will last long after their furry friend has passed.
I now live in Jefferson City, MO, with my fiancé and our two dogs, Bug and Anubis.
